An aquathlon and a walk

Kath has just finished a week of tax lectures at college and the girls had a 3 hour journey to get here so I thought they might like to chill on their first day but no they wanted to do an aquathlon then were up for a walk afterwards.

A swimming pool about 25 minutes drive away had an hour for adult swimming at 11.15 so we got there in time for the girls to swim 30 lengths. They then got dry quickly and ran up the river for 3 km. The journey to the pool was really pretty through the valley with super views and through the gorgeous village of Betws-y-Coed.

We had lunch at the Ty Hyll (Ugly House) tea room and then did a 4 mile low level walk with views of the Snowden horseshoe and a stop for skimming stones in the river.

We returned home where Kath and Martin had a game of pool (the table doubles up as the dining table).
