It was drizzly and overcast as we drove to the Gower peninsula for our next stop. It was only a 35 minute drive so we parked up in Mumbles centre and walked down to the coast path and up round the headland and onwards. There was a slight break in the weather which enabled us to eat our lunch watching the surfers - they must have been freezing as there wasn't much action.
We cut back along roads to the car and decided to visit Clynne Gardens as we were too early to get to our Airbnb. Although the weather was still miserable it was good to see magnolias, camelias and rhododendrons flowering.
We were welcomed to the Airbnb by our hosts, 2 ex police officers. Allison now teaches Welsh and told us an interesting fact; that the language is different in the north - amazing in such a small country. We have a bedroom, a bathroom and a small lounge to ourselves. Although we haven't got access to the kitchen we have got a microwave so we had soup for dinner.
