Sunday out at last

After a very restful day yesterday watching sport and keeping dry we were very keen to get out walking today. The forecast looked ok until 2pm. We drove to the National Park Visitor Centre to walk 7.5 miles up onto a ridge to get views of all of the Brecons. We walked in sun and then in a short sleet shower. The wind was strong in places. Just as we arrived back at the centre it started to snow so great timing. We were going to have a cuppa and cake in the tea room but, probably due to the weather and the fact that it's Sunday, it was packed and stuffy so we came home. It was a great walk with lovely views.

I did think about trying Pen y Fan today but there was quite a bit of snow last night, and as we drove home past the Pen y Fan car park it was a blizzard so I felt for those trying to come down in that.
