The lady in the airport information booth told me the price of the bus to town but it was 4 times the cost of fares in Buenos Aires and I knew our SUBE card didn't have enough loaded. So I worried. We got on the bus and the driver didn't say anything - probably used to ignorant tourists. Halfway to town an Inspector got on so I thought oh here we go. But again he accepted it. Possibly I had just made it up to the negative amount allowed. What it did mean though was that I had to load the card before getting our next bus. That was a bit of a mission. Also several bus drivers shook their head when we asked if they were going to our place even though it showed they did on the map. A young chap helped us and checked where we were going and asked a bus driver to let us off at a particular place. He didn't and we sailed past so had to get off at the next stop and walk back to our rooms - which actually have a bus stop right outside.
Finally we were able to drop our bags have a drink and pop to the supermarket for our supplies for the next few days.
