A to B

Saturday was an A to B day. We had an 11 o clock plane to catch and asked for an 8am check out. However, because we are now in 'manana' time we decided not to wait so left at about 7.20. The hostel was on the 3rd floor in an old residential block with a small lift where you have to pull two concertina doors shut. Thoughts of getting stuck passed through my mind each time we used it!

We got down to the front door only to remember we needed the keys we'd left in the room to get out of the front door. So I went up in the cranky old lift to the hostel (which had a code for the door luckily ) got the keys, went back down in the creaky old lift, opened the front door, back up in the clanging old lift, left the keys again and braved the clonking old lift down once more.

The bus to the airport was packed. Martin and I just squeezed on next to the driver - not easy when we are loaded like this:

The flight was only 2 hours but we had a bit of a wait at the tiny airport for our first bus into town. We sat in the sun with a great view and ate lunch so not too much of a hardship.
