On Sunday we had a dusty chaotic drive in a tuk tuk to the killing fields at Choeung Ek, one of 300 such places in the country. Difficult to describe what it was like to walk round and I only took 1 photo - of the stupa which contains some of the skulls recovered. Because everyone had audio guides the place was very quiet which meant there was a respectful atmosphere. It's dark tourism but an important part of the country's recent history. About 1 in 4 of the population were killed - staggering.
