The other way

It was cloudy today but with no rain forecast and we were able to leave the car for the day and walk from the hostel to the Cliffs of Moher approaching this time from the north. This wasn't as good a walk in terms of scenery but also the path went perilously close to the edge in several places. There are many warning signs about landslides and sticking to the path but lots of people near the visitor centre were ignoring the advice. Again we mostly had the path to ourselves before encountering the hordes at the centre. It is one of the top 4 attractions in Ireland with over 1 million visitors each year.

Along the way I had been looking out for puffins but later discovered that they don't arrive in the area until April.

Doolin village;

Some daft people;
