Wash Out Wednesday

Met Eireann issued a yellow warning for strong winds and heavy rain for today. We woke to the sound of rain lashing at the window but optimistically made a packed lunch. We then decided to wait it out at home for a few hours. I caught up on emails, updated the blog, checked our bank account etc but by lunchtime we were a bit stir crazy. We ate our lunch in the kitchen then got all togged up in our wet weather gear and ventured out.

We looked around the cathedral then headed into Killarney National Park for a walk which almost turned into a swim. The path should be on the left;

We persevered and got round for a few kilometres spotting some more deer;

Tonight we had a very enjoyable few hours with Liam who has just now gone for a power nap before his night shift. The forecast for tomorrow, our last day in Killarney is more rain so we will just have to tog up again and soldier on.
