Tuesday - Port Neist

Today the weather was kind again and we had a big hike from Port Neist lighthouse, along the clifftop path down to Lower Milovaig and back along the minor road.

As the most cleared we could see quite a few ships out then realised that it was the navy - 8 ships in all, probably most of the fleet!

We stopped on a beach for our lunch

On the way up from the harbour we spotted several seals basking on the rocks. An American couple stopped to see what we were looking at and we lent them the binoculars to see and had a good chat. They were long distance truck drivers hauling rock band equipment. They had just come up from visiting Liverpool and had done all of the Beatles sights.

We have seen many different types of fungi

This one was bigger than my fist

On the way back I popped into a craft fair but it wasn't good at all and Martin was glad he had stayed in the car. But I was determined to see the Skye Weavers even though the location was a way down a small track. Really pleased we went as it was all so interesting and we both had a go at the pedal powered loom.
